Positive Feedback Received at the 4th Arabian Tunnelling Conference & Exhibition
, 4:16 pmVIP enjoyed a successful exhibition at the recent Arabian Tunnelling Conference & Exhibition which was held in Dubai.
The two day event brought tunnelling and underground space experts and professionals from the region together to discuss some of the issues faced by the industry surrounding the social, economic and technical circumstances experienced when developing rapidly expanding cities.
Business Development Technical Manager Matt Levitt and Sales and Technical Director Steve Casey were on hand to showcase VIP’s extensive range of gaskets for segmentally lined tunnels which included profiles for hydrophilic, glued-in and VIP’s latest innovation in cast-in gaskets, incorporating unique manufacturing techniques which help eliminate corner point loading, often the cause of cracked or damaged segments.
Commenting on the exhibition, Matt Levitt said “we received a lot of interest and positive feedback from many people who we spoke with which included pre-cast managers and engineers from construction and utilities companies located in the region and from further afield.
Many of them were interested in how our cast-in profiles could be used in their future projects and were impressed by the flexibility of the manufacturing process which allows corners to be made to any angle, therefore allowing the gasket to fit the segment perfectly.”
