VIP-Polymers announced today that it has acquired Polymex Ltd, the highly regarded Letchworth based specialist rubber extrusion company for an undisclosed sum.

The business also has a clear competitive edge in its existing products and an excellent skills base amongst their workforce. We will bring stability and the confidence of a sound financial platform, but we will also be looking to add value beyond that by building the business further in the months and years ahead”.

The acquisition expands the capacity and capabilities of VIP’s predominently rubber-based manufacturing operations.

Accordingly, the Polymex customer base gains access to VIP’s 80+ years experience of product design and introduction and well established specialist experience in areas that will enhance the range of services it can provide to its customers.

The business will trade as VIP-Polymers Ltd with all Customer Services enquiries dealt with through the VIP-Polymers Headquarters in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. There are no plans to integrate the existing Polymex manufacturing facility into Huntingdon.
