design and development facility customers can work with VIP from the initial concept and idea which we progress through 3D modelling to prototyping and ultimately, full scale production.
Our customers derive confidence from our engineering expertise, trusted and approved toolmakers and, unlike many other rubber moulding and extrusion companies, our in-house mixing facilities gives us total control over compound production.
Often a new product will involve new polymers, new processing methods and different thinking to solve a problem. Every product we make is bespoke to fulfil a specific solution; we believe that with our involvement, from the beginning, all of our customers can bring to market a better product with enhanced value.
Rubber to Metal Fabrication
VIP-Polymers have been producing rubber to metal fabricated products for over 30 years, serving a diverse range of industries including civil engineering, instrumentation, automotive and pneumatic equipment. Typical examples of such products are:
• Linings for Progressing Cavity Pumps (PCP's)
• Bonded bridge bearings
• Automotive anti-vibration mounts
• Lead and Aluminium roofing flues
Our equipment includes a range of strip moulding presses up to 3 metres in length and with closing forces of up to 1,000 tonnes.
Mindful of the environmental impact of traditional solvent based bonding agents, VIP now produce the majority of components using water based systems. All emissions from this process can be contained and process media recycled, making it more environmentally friendly.
